Why would someone like me get involved with politics?

There are many reasons I am the best suited and most well-rounded contestant to be the Conservative Party candidate for Yorkton-Melville. Here are some of them.

As a firearm owner, the government's overreaching confiscation of firearms is part of an attempt to change our way of life and culture of hunting and fishing. It is another step in taking away our freedom.

As a life-long farmer I'm concerned about the increasing taxes that are intentionally making it more difficult to transfer a family farm down through the generations. This has been a proud tradition and I am hearing this as a major concern.

As a father of two teenage girls, I am feeling unsure about the future of all of our children. Will they have jobs? Will they be able to afford a place to live? Will they be able to believe and worship freely? These are just a few of the questions we all have. I want to stand against the erosion of our freedoms and the woke culture that is being integrated into our society.

As the candidate, I would be able to address these more passionately than someone who may not have as much at stake. I would represent the Conservative Party proudly and bring common sense to the table. Only the Conservative Party has the platform to move our country out of this darkness. I do not believe it has to be Canada's destiny to continue down this path. We need strong MPs who will boldly speak out on these issues, unafraid of push back from the left.

This is for the hundreds of families that I have been talking to for years. I believe I can make a difference and help bring back the freedoms and restore hope for a brighter future for all of us.

My work regularly takes me to every corner of this large rural riding on a regular basis. It's a rare person who can say that. I know the geography, but more importantly I know the people. Every day I am in my customers' homes and hear the concerns at their kitchen table. I need to be the candidate to take these concerns to Ottawa.

People want to talk about their concerns and I have always been a good listener. It's time to put listening to action and fight for our opportunity to prosper. We need to stand on guard for our freedoms, culture, secure borders and immigration laws that protect Canadians and our way of life here in Saskatchewan. Only with strong Conservative candidates who understand the people they represent can we win and turn this country around.

I would be very honoured to represent the people of Yorkton-Melville.
