Nelson Pohl
Nomination Contestant for the
Yorkton-Melville Conservative Candidate
Nelson was raised on a farm north of Yorkton, between Ebenezer and Springside. He graduated from Yorkton Regional High School and went into full time mixed farming. He also worked off the farm at a food processing plant as a supervisor. He has owned and operated a successful furnace cleaning company since 2011. Nelson has gained a thorough knowledge of the geography of Yorkton-Melville through his work, but more importantly this gave him the opportunity to meet the people throughout the riding.
His interest in politics started at a young age. He was able to get involved by volunteering in local, provincial and federal campaigns. By serving on boards he gained experience with budgets, policies/procedures, and people management. He has been an executive member of the Yorkton-Melville Conservative EDA board.
All of his life experiences has prepared Nelson to relate to and represent the people of Yorkton-Melville. He has grown to know people from the southern border of the Qu'Appelle Valley to the northern community of Carrot River.
